London Overground Suffragette Line Railway Facilities

Blackhorse Road Railway Station in London also featured in Train Sim World is named after the Black House Lane road, which was originally the name of a mansion located on the site. The station opened in 1894 and changed the local area from a suburb to an industrial London Overground Suffragette Line area. 

Explanation

  • The name Blackhorse comes from the mansion Black House that stood at the southern end of Blackhorse Lane. 
  • The Tottenham and Forest Gate Railway built the station in 1894. 
  • The Victoria Line station opened in 1968. It was the only station on the line to have a new structure above ground. 
  • The station has two works of art that depict black horses, including a tile motif and a mural. 
  • The station has accessible parking near the entrances and on nearby streets. 
  • The London Overground platforms have step-free access via lifts from the footbridge.
