Blackpool South Railway Station is a passenger station in Train Sim World featured Blackpool Branches, that serves the southern suburbs of the town. It’s one of two train stations in Blackpool, with the other being Blackpool North. 

Purpose 

  • Local trips: Some people use Blackpool South for short trips in the Blackpool area.
  • Connections: It’s a convenient station for travelers staying in the southern part of Blackpool.
  • Intercity travel: It has hourly trains to Preston, where you can change for services to Birmingham, Carlisle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, and London.

History 

  • Originally called Waterloo Road station, it opened in 1903.
  • It was renamed Blackpool South in 1932.
  • In 1964, part of the line closed and the station became a terminus.

Features 

  • It has a single platform with a waiting shelter, bench seating, and timetable posters.
  • It has step-free access via a ramp from both Waterloo Road and the carpark.
  • It has basic amenities for customer use.
