Expert DB BR 101 & IC Steuerwagen Electric Locomotive & Push Pull Cab Car is a rolling stock add-on developed and maintained by TrainSim-Germany, for their TSW Console and PC platforms and was released on August 8, 2024 for the Train Sim World 4 video game. The Expert DB BR 101 and IC Steuerwagen are a pair of add-ons for the game Train Sim World that simulate a high-speed German passenger locomotive and its cab car:
- Expert DB BR 101 – This add-on simulates a large, powerful electric locomotive that was introduced in the late 1990s to replace older express passenger locomotives. The add-on includes a full internal simulation, temperature simulation, fault simulation, and authentic PZB data entry. It also features minor gameplay elements like windscreen fog simulation and the finite lifespan of the sander and battery.
- IC Steuerwagen – This add-on simulates the sleek cab car that accompanies the DB BR 101 locomotive. It allows for fully authentic push-pull Inter-City services. The doors of the IC Steuerwagen open automatically when unlocked and adjacent to a platform, but the driver still needs to close them.
