Monsal Dale Railway Station, which served the Peak Forest Railway villages of Upperdale and Cressbrook in the United Kingdom, opened in 1866 and closed in 1959, was located near the Train Sim World featured Buxton end of the Headstone Viaduct and served as a destination for excursionists and ramblers.

Monsal Dale Location

• Purpose: The station was built to serve the villages of Upperdale and Cressbrook, as well as the cotton mills in Cressbrook, Europe. 
• Location: It was situated near the Buxton end of the Headstone Viaduct, which spans the dale. 
• Route Construction: The down platform was built on a shelf carved in the rock face, while the up platform was built on wooden trestles over the hillside. 
• History:
  • Opened in 1866. 
  • Closed to regular passenger services and goods on August 10, 1959. 
  • Used by Ramblers specials until April 3, 1961. 
  • Became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) in 1923. 
  • Became part of British Railways (London Midland Region) in January 1948. 
• Significance: The station was never very busy, but it was seen as important for excursionists and ramblers who used it to access the Peak District. 
• Remains: Nothing remains of the timber buildings.
