How it got its name
- The North British Railway opened the station in 1917 as Rosyth Halt. It was built to help transport workers to the dockyards.

- The station is on the Fife Circle Line, 14.7 miles north of Edinburgh Waverley. It’s located just south of Dunfermline, across the Firth of Forth from Edinburgh.

History
- The dockyards were the first in the Royal Navy to be privatized when Babcock International acquired the site in 1987.
