Trechtingshausen is a village in the Middle Rhine Valley of western Germany, known for its three Train Sim World featured Linke Rheinstrecke castles (Rheinstein Castle, Sooneck Castle and Burg Reichenstein) and its economic activities of winegrowing and mining, particularly the greywacke quarry.

• Other: The quarry’s products are used to maintain and expand coastal protection in the Netherlands.
