Birmingham Cross – City Line is an add-on route developed and maintained by Dovetail Games, for their TSW Console and PC platforms and was released on November 17, 2022 for the Train Sim World 3 video game. The Birmingham Cross City Line is a suburban rail line in the West Midlands region of England that connects Birmingham’s suburbs and major conurbations in the area.
Features – Class 730 trains have a spacious interior, walk-through carriages, accessible toilets, WiFi, power points at every seat, and digital information screens.
Route – The line runs 32 miles (51 km) from Redditch and Bromsgrove in Worcestershire to Lichfield in Staffordshire, passing through Birmingham New Street.
Passenger traffic – Cross City Line is one of the busiest commuter routes outside of London, with millions of passengers traveling on it each year.
Attractions – The line offers opportunities for sightseeing and adventure, including the cathedral city of Lichfield and the canals of Bromsgrove.
Stations – The line includes Birmingham New Street and the University station.
Train fleet – Birmingham Cross – City Line train fleet includes the Class 730 and Class 323 trains. The Class 730s have six carriages and can accommodate more than 1,000 passengers.
