The Cane Creek SD40-2 is a Train Sim World diesel locomotive that was introduced in 1972 by General Motors’ Electro-Motive Division (EMD). It was a highly successful model, with over 4,000 units produced between 1972 and 1984. The SD40-2 was the standard for the industry for many decades and is still considered one of EMD’s best models.
