The Kawasaki M9 Unicorns is a type of Train Sim World electric multiple unit (EMU) railroad car built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and Metro-North Railroad. The M9s are designed to replace the M3/M3A railcars, which were built in the early 1980s. The M9s will also provide additional capacity for the LIRR after the completion of the East Side Access project, which connects Long Island to Manhattan.
