Munich Donnersbergerbrücke station is a central hub in Munich’s S-Bahn network, located in the Munich to Augsburg Schwanthalerhöhe district in Germany. It serves as a key point where the S7 line splits off towards Wolfratshausen and the S-Bahn trunk line continues on. This Train Sim World featured station is named after the nearby Donnersberger Bridge, which is located to the west of the station.

  • Location: The station is situated in the Schwanthalerhöhe district of Munich, east of the Donnersberger Bridge, Europe
  • Function: It’s a crucial hub for the S-Bahn, acting as a junction where some lines branch off from the main trunk line. Specifically, the S7 line separates towards Wolfratshausen at Donnersbergerbrücke. 
  • Services Route: It’s served by S-Bahn lines and also by services of the Bavarian Oberlandbahn (BOB) on the Munich–Holzkirchen railway. 
  • Historical Significance: The station’s current configuration, including the tunnel section, was established with the opening on May 31, 1981. Prior to this, services on lines like S7 and S10 used to continue towards Holzkirchner Bahnhof without stopping at Donnersbergerbrücke.
