Bahnstrecke Salzburg - Rosenheim

Bahnstrecke Salzburg – Rosenheim is an add-on route developed and maintained by Dovetail Games, for their TSW Console and PC platforms and was released on February 27, 2024 for the Train Sim World 4 video game. The Bahnstrecke Salzburg – Rosenheim is a railway line that connects the German city of Rosenheim to Salzburg in Austria. It’s a key transport corridor between the two countries, and has been in use for over 160 years.

Bahnstrecke Salzburg – Rosenheim is also the name of a downloadable content (DLC) add-on for the game TSW4. The DLC recreates the line in 2013, and allows players to experience the route from the perspective of a classic electric BR 111 locomotive. Players can travel through the Bavarian countryside, cross the border into Austria, and visit Salzburg.

The Rosenheim station is a major railway hub that connects the Bahnstrecke Salzburg – Rosenheim line to other lines, including the Munich – Rosenheim line.

• The line was first proposed in 1828, but took many years to design, fund, and construct.

• The line is electrified and has double tracks.

• The line is part of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T).
