The EMD F125, also known as the Spirit, is a Train Sim World passenger diesel locomotive that stands for:

• EMD: Electro-Motive Diesel, the manufacturer of the locomotive 
• F: Full width, meaning there are no walkways on the sides 
• 125: The maximum speed of the locomotive in miles per hour 

The EMD F125 is the first new passenger locomotive to meet the EPA’s Tier 4 diesel emissions standards to be sold in the world. It has a top speed of 125 miles per hour, can pull up to 10 cars, and weighs 280,000 pounds. The locomotive is powered by a Caterpillar C175-20 V20 diesel engine that produces 4,700 horsepower. 

The EMD F125 was first delivered to Metrolink in the summer of 2016 and began regular service in late 2017. Metrolink ordered 40 F125s to replace their F59PH and F59PHI locomotives Antelope Valley Line – Exordium Gaming.
