Greenhithe Railway Station is named after the village of Greenhithe in Kent, Southeastern High Speed Extended. The name Greenhithe in Train Sim World comes from the Old English words hythe meaning landing-place and grene meaning green. 

History

  • The station was built in 1849 as a small-town station on the North Kent Line 
  • It was rebuilt in 1999 to handle the increased number of passengers after the opening of Bluewater shopping center 
  • The station was rebuilt again in 2008 to improve accessibility for disabled users

  • The station serves the village of Greenhithe and the Bluewater shopping center in Train Sim World 3
  • Services to London Charing Cross take about 50 minutes
  • Eastbound services go to Gravesend or Gillingham
  • Southeastern and Thameslink operate all services
