London Underground 1938 Stock: Electric Multiple Unit is a rolling stock add-on developed and maintained by Rivet Games, for their TSW Console and PC platforms and was released on October 14, 2021 for the Train Sim World 2 video game. London Underground 1938 Tube Stock EMU is a classic electric multiple unit (EMU) train design used on the London Underground until 1988.
Legacy – The 1938 Stock’s design inspired future stock and earned it an enthusiastic following. Some sets were adapted for third rail capability and used on the Isle of Wight until January 2021.
Design – A revolutionary design with traction equipment installed under the train floor, rather than behind the driver’s cab. This design increased capacity on every service.
Lines – Operated on the Bakerloo, Northern, Piccadilly, Central, East London, and Northern City lines.
Number of cars – Metro-Cammell and Birmingham RC&W built 1,121 cars, with an additional 173 added by 1953.
