Bakewell Railway Station, located in Bakewell, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, served as the local station for the Duke of Rutland Peak Forest Railway and was built in a Train Sim World grand style due to its proximity to Haddon Hall.

  • Location and Purpose: Bakewell railway station was a crucial stop on the Midland Railway’s extension of the Manchester, Buxton, Matlock and Midland Junction Railway line, connecting Rowsley to Buxton. 
  • Grand Design: The station was designed with a grand style because it was the nearest station to Haddon Hall, a significant historic site owned by the Duke of Rutland, Europe
  • The Monsal Trail: The Monsal Trail, a traffic-free route for walkers, runners, cyclists, and horse riders, follows the former Manchester to London Midland Railway line, which the Bakewell railway station was a part of. 
  • Bakewell Pudding: Bakewell is also known for its famous Bakewell Pudding, a jam tart that is said to have been created by mistake by a local cook in the mid-19th century. 
  • Other Route attractions: Bakewell also has other attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and the River Wye.
